Disability Support Worker
Provide compassionate, person-centred support that enables participants to live independently and achieve their goals.
We are looking for compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join the Migara Care team. In this role, you will support participants with their daily activities, community participation and personal goals while promoting dignity, independence and choice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respectful and person-centred support to participants.
- Assist with daily living activities and household tasks.
- Support participants to access their community and participate in meaningful activities.
- Encourage independence, confidence and personal choice.
- Follow individual support plans and organisational procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate relevant participant information.
- Work collaboratively with families, coordinators and other support professionals.
Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or a relevant qualification is preferred.
- Previous disability or community support experience is desirable.
- Current driver's licence.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Reliable, compassionate and professional attitude.
- Willingness to complete required compliance and screening checks.
